Dudley Wines recently took out Champion Wine with our 2023 Cape Hart Riesling (Kangaroo Island Show). And crowd favourite, the Dudley Bubbly, won Best Sparkling Wine. Thanks to the judges (it must be a tough job!) and the show organizers for another great event.
As we head towards the end of what has been a very testing year for all, we would like to thank everyone for their support over this time. The Kangaroo Island fires, followed by the covid lockdown took a massive toll on our community and we are extremely grateful for those who have visited the Island and filled their eskies, or ordered local produce online. We look forward to beginning 2021 with positive vibes and are excited for a busy summer season!
After two very testing years of below average rainfall and heaps of frosty nights, the quality of the grapes for the 2019 harvest has been exceptional and we are looking forward to the final product.
It has been a warm end to the ripening season, so our vintage is looking like being a short one. We are yet to harvest our Porky Flat Shiraz, which is getting close to it's peak ripeness. It has been a relatively low yielding year, however the quality is right up there for both the whites and reds!
